We built this pair of replacement shoulder pads to cushion heavy loads on narrow webbing. Each pad measures 8.9 inches long by 3.2 inches wide, with a full 1.2 inches of profile thickness to spread downward pressure. How this one is put together

Sponge core padding

We insert a 0.8 inch thick layer of spongia padding into each pad. This resilient core absorbs shock, cushions against heavy pack loads, and keeps narrow webbing from digging into your collarbone.

Strap channel fit

The wrap channel takes webbing straps from 2 inches up to 2.36 inches wide. It closes snugly around backpack harnesses, plate carriers, tactical vests, or an arborist rope bag strap without sliding around during movement.

Breathable elastic fabric

We stitch the outer shell from a flexible elastic fabric that lets heat escape and pulls moisture away from your shirt. The entire pad is machine washable, so you can wash out trail grime and sweat.

MOLLE attachment loops

Three accessory loops sit along the top surface, spaced about 1 inch apart. The center point uses an elastic section, giving you a quick spot to secure communication wires, hydration tubes, or small clip-on gear.

Before you commit

Check the hardware on the bag you already own before ordering. Our fittings need a D-ring or the equivalent loop, and a sewn-in webbing tab will not take a swivel hook however strong the strap is.
