How this one is put together

Low rebound padding

Thick foam lines the perimeter and face of the computer compartment, backed by soft velvet lining. A raised internal ridge keeps the teeth of the top zip from rubbing against the metal edges of your machine.

Expansion gusset depth

Running the lower zip adds more than two inches of depth across the second compartment. It stays flat when empty, then expands when you need room for an umbrella, bulky power adapter, or a notebook.

Recycled oxford shell

We weave the outer shell from post-consumer recycled PET bottles. The tight oxford face resists drizzle and everyday splashes, and it cleans up with a damp cloth after a long commute.

Internal pockets and handles

Before you commit

Hold a ruler across your own screen corner to corner before you decide. This one is cut for 15.6 inches, and a machine with a thick bezel can eat that margin on its own. The expansion zip buys depth, not width, so a wider chassis still will not go in.
