The side gusset stays tucked flat at 1.57 inches for light days. Release the continuous perimeter zip and the bag expands out to 5.51 inches, adding room for bulkier layers or chargers.

Before you commit

Hold a ruler across your own screen corner to corner before you decide. This one is cut for 15, 16 inches, and a machine with a thick bezel can eat that margin on its own. The expansion zip buys depth, not width, so a wider chassis still will not go in.
