We built this sleeve to take a sixteen inch notebook without turning into a heavy briefcase. A wrap-around expansion zipper doubles the internal depth from under two inches to nearly four when you pack chargers. The padded compartment folds open wide on the bench for easy checks.

How this one is put together

Wave foam padding

Inside the laptop section we stitch a base layer of low-rebound wave foam. The ridged profile absorbs sudden knocks and buffers the corners of a 15.6 inch machine, while the lining stays soft against aluminum lids.

Expanding middle section

Unzip the perimeter track and the center gusset expands external thickness from 2.36 inches up to 4.53 inches. That gives you room for a chunky power brick, a compact keyboard, or a handheld console alongside your computer.

Internal mesh pockets

Five separate mesh pockets line the expanded compartment to separate cables, mice, and tablets up to 12.9 inches. Elastic top edges hold each accessory flat so small items do not rattle around at the bottom of the case.

Water resistant shell

We cut the exterior panels from dense polyester weave that shrugs off light drizzle and accidental drink splashes on a desk. Dust wipes away with a damp cloth, and the reinforced grab handle stays firm under full load.

Before you commit

Hold a ruler across your own screen corner to corner before you decide. This one is cut for 15, 15.6, 16 inches, and a machine with a thick bezel can eat that margin on its own. The expansion zip buys depth, not width, so a wider chassis still will not go in.
