We built this pack flat for carrying just a fourteen inch laptop, a charger, and a notepad. Pull the wraparound zip and the side gusset opens out, taking the depth from 1.57 inches to 5.51 inches. The body uses a water-resistant fabric woven from recycled PET bottles that shakes off light rain.

How this one is put together

Padded device pocket

The internal sleeve fits 13 inch, 13.5 inch, and 14 inch notebooks. We lined it with soft velvet to keep metal chassis free of rub marks during daily transit, separate from the main packing space.

Full gusset expansion

One continuous zip run around the perimeter releases the folded panels. Closed, the pack stays remarkably thin. Open, you get enough extra volume for a folded layer, books, and your charging brick.

Recycled outer fabric

We chose a tight polyester weave made from recycled bottles. It sheds drizzle, resists dirt from subway floors, and wipes down with a damp cloth when your commute gets messy.

External pocket layout

Two flat zip pockets sit on the front face for cables and small items. Side slots hold a compact umbrella, while a wide rear pocket takes A4 notebooks flat against your back.

Before you commit

Hold a ruler across your own screen corner to corner before you decide. This one is cut for 13, 13.5, 14 inches, and a machine with a thick bezel can eat that margin on its own. The expansion zip buys depth, not width, so a wider chassis still will not go in.
