How this one is put together

Fixed padded section

We stitch the breathable padded section directly to the webbing so it cannot slide down the strap while you walk. It spreads the weight of heavy gear across your collarbone and keeps the mesh cushioning right where you set it.

Dual balance buckles

A buckle sits on each side of the center pad to balance the pull. Adjusting both ends keeps the pad centered on your shoulder, and the friction teeth hold the webbing firmly under loads up to 18 kilograms.

Swivel snap hooks

We cast the snap hooks from aluminum alloy with a wide gate opening that clips cleanly onto thick D-rings. Full 360-degree swivel rotation keeps the strap from twisting or binding up as you shoulder the load.

Striped blue webbing

The alternating blue stripe pattern hides everyday dirt and scuffs better than pale solid webbing. We weave the nylon densely to resist edge fraying where the hardware slides during length adjustments.
