We built this pair of khaki shoulder cushions to take the bite out of weighted vest webbing and pack straps. Each pad wraps webbing up to 2.36 inches wide, using internal spongia fill to spread concentrated downward force across your collarbone. The khaki tone matches field kit and hides dust well.

How this one is put together

Spongia core padding

We insert 0.8 inches of shock-absorbing spongia inside each pad. The core disperses heavy downforce across your shoulder rather than letting narrow webbing dig in under load.

Attachment loops on top

Three webbing loops sit along the outer face, spaced roughly one inch apart. We made the center loop elastic so you can slip small gear through quickly and keep it secured.

Strap width fit

At 8.9 inches long and 3.2 inches wide, each pad wraps straps measuring two inches and accommodates webbing up to 2.36 inches wide. The wrap stays planted on bare fabric.

Elastic fabric care

The outer elastic shell breathes well and pulls sweat away during long carries. When dust or sweat settles into the khaki fabric, toss both pads straight into the washing machine.

Before you commit

Check the hardware on the bag you already own before ordering. Our fittings need a D-ring or the equivalent loop, and a sewn-in webbing tab will not take a swivel hook however strong the strap is.
