We built this pack around a dedicated sleeve tailored for 13 and 14 inch screens, lined with soft velvet to keep metal casings unscuffed. Closed down, the profile sits under two inches flat against your back. Unzip the center gusset and the body expands out past five inches when you need to pack extra layers.

How this one is put together
Expanding center gusset
The perimeter zip releases a folding gusset that takes interior depth from 1.38 inches to 5.31 inches. It keeps the profile tight on light days while leaving room for an extra charger brick and bulkier cargo on long trips.
Recycled bottle shell
We weave the exterior textile from recycled plastic bottles. The water-resistant finish sheds light rain and commuter dirt, while metal double sliders on the main track pull smoothly around the corners without snagging.
Velvet laptop pocket
Inside sits a dedicated sleeve compartment cushioned against everyday bumps and lined with plush velvet. It accepts 13-inch and 14-inch notebooks, holding them firmly in place so they do not slide inside the main cavity.
Pocket layout and ports
Two front zip pouches organize cables and pens, while side slots hold a compact umbrella or bottle. We added a wide rear pocket sized for A4 notebooks alongside an external pass-through jack for routing headphone cords.

Before you commit
Hold a ruler across your own screen corner to corner before you decide. This one is cut for 13, 14 inches, and a machine with a thick bezel can eat that margin on its own. The expansion zip buys depth, not width, so a wider chassis still will not go in.
