We cut this backpack thin for transit, then added a wrap-around gusset zip that widens the profile from 1.57 inches to 5.51 inches. The padded compartment secures a fifteen or sixteen inch laptop against a soft lining. Under indoor lights, the black-purple textile shows a muted dark violet cast that masks travel dust well.

Before you commit

Hold a ruler across your own screen corner to corner before you decide. This one is cut for 15, 16 inches, and a machine with a thick bezel can eat that margin on its own. The expansion zip buys depth, not width, so a wider chassis still will not go in.
