We built this 33 cm long shoulder pad to wrap around webbing straps up to 2.8 inches wide. The core uses 2.5 cm of memory foam layered with elastic neoprene to absorb shocks. In black and white, the pattern breaks up plain nylon web while softening the bite of a heavy case.

How this one is put together

Memory foam core

We cut the internal padding to a full 2.5 cm thickness. The dense foam compresses under heavy bags to distribute pressure evenly over your collarbone rather than digging in along a narrow line of bare webbing.

Neoprene layer

Beneath the top fabric sits an elastic neoprene and air foam layer that lets air circulate. The underside grips your coat to prevent sliding, wicking away moisture during long walks across a terminal.

Wrap closure

Sturdy hook-and-loop fasteners run the length of the 8 cm wide pad. You can unwrap it completely, slip it over messenger straps, guitar slings, or duffle handles, and press the seam shut.

Fabric care

The black and white outer shell hides daily scuffs well. When it picks up road dirt or sweat from daily commutes, peel it off the strap and run it through a standard machine wash cycle.

Before you commit

Check the hardware on the bag you already own before ordering. Our fittings need a D-ring or the equivalent loop, and a sewn-in webbing tab will not take a swivel hook however strong the strap is.
