We built this 75 inch replacement strap to solve the wandering pad problem on heavy messenger bags and duffels. The army green nylon webbing adjusts from 37 inches to 75 inches using dual clasps, keeping the thick cushion centered over your collarbone. Aluminum alloy swivel hooks clip straight onto standard D-rings without binding.

How this one is put together

Fixed shoulder cushion

The 12.6 inch pad stays anchored to the webbing so it does not slide down your back. We layered memory foam, breathable mesh, and neoprene to spread the load across a broad 2.8 inch contact patch.

Dual balanced buckles

Two adjustment slides let you take in slack from both ends equally. This keeps the padded section centered while preventing the webbing from creeping longer when you carry a heavy gear load.

Braided nylon webbing

We weave superfine fibers into a 1.5 inch wide band rated to handle 50 kilograms. The muted army green yarn resists fraying and hides minor grime picked up from transit floors.

Alloy swivel hardware

Solid aluminum alloy clasps rotate a full 360 degrees to stop the strap from twisting. The wide hook opening snaps quickly over thick bag loops, guitar cases, and heavy travel luggage.
